At the studio we like following up on all our shoots to see how the images have worked for the client. This not only helps us understand how clients are using the images but also help develop the services offered by the studio so we may continue to grow.
A recent email from a small business client, revealed how the images produced for his business helped him secure a major contract producing television advertising.

A Picture is worth a Thousand Words
Advertising imagery is key to any business and while stock images can have their use, it is custom imagery that is created specifically for a client and concept that really grabs attention.
An exciting and creative advertising image sells more than just a product or service, it sells a style, an attitude and a concept in one easy to digest form.

Style, Desire, Indulgence & Debauch
The studio was recently approached by designer brand Debauch, London, to photograph their range of spectacle frames, an enquiry which was both intriguing and exciting.
On receipt of their brand guide it became apparent that this was a brand with attitude and style. Our excitement was barely contained when looking through the range of frames and immediately ideas began developing ideas regarding potential imagery.

"Parking in bus stops is just wrong"
Smith Creative of Newcastle were commissioned to produce advertising that would communicate the message that parking in bus stops is wrong and potentially dangerous.
The Nexus campaign aims to reduce the amount of parking in bus stops, by making people aware of the problems their actions could cause other people. It's running during January and February 2010, on Adshels (posters in bus shelters), the back of buses, on Metro Radio and in selected car parks.
The final witty and attention grabbing advertising concept was developed by the team at Smith Creative who then approached the studio to shoot the required images.
The images had to be simple and fit very defined formats to ensure that as the buses go by the message can be communicated in an efficient manner.
The team at the shoot for the campaign consisted of Smith Creative, Philip Hunton Photography, Laura J Brown (Makeup Artist) and the talented models.
Using several car parts, duck tape, the talent of the models and vision of the creative team we produced images that were simple and communicated the clever message effectively.
This commission was a good illustration of how the studio can adapt to meet your exact requirements.

At the Opera...
The studio was recently approached by Opera North regarding their forthcoming production of Ruddigore, Gilbert and Sullivan’s witty burlesque Victorian melodrama.
Opera North are England's award-winning National Opera Company who produce exciting and acclaimed opera, classical music and contemporary artistic projects and with a strong education focus.
The marketing team at ON had spotted a shot by Philip Hunton Photography of Lead Guitarist and Singer Paul Daly from a band called the Vaudeville Class, a North East based Blues/Rock Band, and felt it summed up one of the key characters in their production.
Paul was thrilled that the Opera company were interested in using the image and so the studio supplied them with the picture which now appears on the programme cover for the production.
The Vaudeville Class are a Blues/Rock band who are building a good following in the UK and have recently been played on BBC Radio Newcastle and Spark FM. They are also set to play a gig at the popular Newcastle night spot The Cluny, supporting The Band of Skulls who were a featured on the recent Twilight: New Moon movie soundtrack.
The production of Ruddigore is set to open in the winter of 2010, full details will be available on their website: http://www.operanorth.co.uk
